We're working to bring structure and clarity to the chaos of construction.

The more we organize, the better we build.

Our Mission

"We're working to become the most efficient, systems-driven builder in the industry."

Construction is hard, but we believe the right structure allows us to work faster, with greater clarity, and achieve more beautiful outcomes.

Each project is a chance to improve our process—and deliver something thoughtfully crafted.

Our Core Values

  • Clarity Over Chaos

We eliminate ambiguity—whether it's in scopes, schedules, or on-site communication.
Construction is hard enough; confusion doesn't belong on the job.

  • Build Better Systems

We don't have every process perfect—but we're improving them with every project.
Progress comes from iteration, not ego.

  • Own the Outcome

We take responsibility from start to finish.
No finger-pointing. No hiding. We own our work.

  • Beauty Matters

We care how things look, feel, and function.
    A well-built space should perform—and inspire.

  • Low Ego, High Standards

We respect the team, the trades, and the drawings.
    Collaboration beats bravado, every time.

  • Enjoy the Process

This work is demanding—but we like doing it.
Clear plans, clean sites, and good people make it better for everyone.

What It Means for You

  • Fewer Surprises

We plan tightly and communicate clearly—so budgets hold and schedules don't slip.

  • Better Record-Keeping

Every decision, every change, every timeline adjustment is documented and accessible.

  • Clear Communication

Regular updates, transparent reporting, and immediate problem-solving.

  • System-Backed Craftsmanship

Our processes and systems enable our craftsmen to do their best work, consistently.

Our Story

I didn't set out to build a construction company. I just wanted to fix my own problems.

After a 15-year career in equity trading and portfolio management—industries where process, precision, and accountability are non-negotiable—I started managing renovations on real estate I had invested in. What I found was a world of chaos: missed timelines, unclear scopes, and a lack of ownership everywhere I turned.

At first, I simply dove in myself—learning how to manage crews, write scopes, control costs, and deliver a better product. One project turned into two, then three. Friends and fellow investors started asking me to run their jobs, and over time, what began as a personal solution turned into something much bigger.

In 2012, I founded CooperBuild, originally growing out of Cooper Development, with a clear mission: to bring structure, clarity, and beauty to an industry too often defined by confusion.

Today, CooperBuild is a 40-person team operating across two states, with national expansion on the horizon. We run fully owned millwork shops, rely on proprietary software systems, and use a systems-based approach to bring clarity and beauty to every step of the construction process.

There's still plenty of room to improve, but we're proud of what we've built—and we're enjoying the journey.
